iMC Dozer - Proactive Dozing Control

Source: D65EXi-18 Operation and Maintenance Manual p3-49

When auto blade control has been set, the machine will cut the ground gradually to the target depth set by the Cut Depth selection.

Once the machine reaches the set target depth, it will continue to cut while the target cut depth (a) is kept against the current terrain (S).

DOZING MODES

iMC 1.0

  1. Cut and Carry = normal dozing operation

  2. Cutting = effective, short-range cutting operation

  3. Spreading = Spreading operation of piled soil higher than the blade height

  4. Simple Grading = operation to finish uneven ground, flat ground, or slope by travelling along or across the slope

All modes have automatic blade control on the blade.

For Mode 1, 2 ,3:

Blade is automatically raised when machine track speed is the same as GNSS speed

Blade is automatically lowered when machine track speed is less than GNSS speed

iMC 2.0

  1. Auto - combines the three dozing modes of iMC 1.0

  2. Simple Grading

APPLICATIONS

  • Cutting & Carry:

Applicable for uses that put heavy load on the blade:

    • Scraping soils in short distance

    • Level scraping

    • Scraping natural ground

    • Carry and compact soils

    • Carry soils to hole

    • Spreading soils to places lower than blade edge

    • Raising ground level (pushing up soils)

    • Push and turn operation

  • Spreading

    • Spreading soils to places higher than the blade edge

    • Natural ground side cutting operation

  • Simple Grading

    • = normal dozing operation

    • Can be used for reverse leveling work (Back Grading)

      • Erasing track marks / tidying final design surface

When simple grading is selected, smooth start and blade load mode cannot be set.
