Configuring Material Mismatch rules

You can configure Material Mismatch Rules with the Master Data Editor in iControl. To set up a rule:

  1. Open the Master Data Editor in iControl and select the Material Mismatch rules tab.

  2. Click Add to create a blank entry in the table.

  3. Select the device or device type that you want the rule to apply to.

  4. Select the appropriate material information using the first Not check box, the Material field, the All product check box, and the All waste check box.

    • If the rule is to apply to all product materials, leave the first Not check box cleared, set the material to Any, select the All product check box, and leave the All waste check box cleared.

    • If the rule is to apply to all waste materials, leave the first Not check box cleared, set the material to Any, select the All waste check box, and leave the All product check box cleared.

    • If the rule is to apply to a single material only, or to every material except one, leave the All product check box cleared and the All waste check box cleared.

      • If the rule is to apply to a single material only, select that material from the Material field and leave the first Not check box cleared.

      • If the rule is to apply to all materials except one, select the material that the rule is not to apply to from the Material field and select the first Not check box.
If a specific material is chosen for the rule, the rule also applies to any descendant or child material items that are selected on the vehicle.

    • At least one of the above three options for specifying the material for the rule must be made.

      • The combination of Any material, the All product check box cleared, and the All waste check box cleared is invalid because it does not trigger any alerts.

      • To trigger an alert for any material, select Any material and select both the All product and All waste check boxes.

  5. Select the appropriate location information for the rule.

    • If the rule is to apply everywhere, select Any from the Geofence field and leave the second Not check box cleared.

    • If the rule is to apply in only a single geofence, select the desired geofence from the Geofence field and leave the second Not check box cleared.

    • If the rule is to apply in every geofence except one, select the exception geofence from the Geofence field and select the second Not check box.

  6. Select the warning type:

    • Movement specifies that the rule is based on being in the specified location with the specified material.

    • Dump specifies that the rule is based on going into reverse (that is, preparing to dump) in the specified location with the specified material.

  7. Click the Commit button after editing the rules to save your changes, or Refresh to ignore all changes.
