How to set up the Project

Introduction

This article provides a detailed explanation on how to create a new project.

Creating a new project is the first step in using the Smart Construction Fleet.
It is required for all project sites.

 

Procedures and Explanation

Setting up a job site in Smart Construction Fleet

Since site information is shared within each application, this step is required if the job site has not been set up yet (i.e., the site is not used in any application).
If you are already using the site information in another application, please see the supplemental information below.


  1. Open the Smart Construction Portal and launch Smart Construction Fleet from the list of applications.

  1. Click on 【"1" Add a site.】

  1. Enter an address close to the site and click “Search” to determine the location to be displayed, then input the name of the site.

*The time zone is set based on the location on the map.

*The project site can be also set from the Customer portal. (See Supplementary Information.)

  1. Enter the 【"1" construction period】 and 【"2" time】 (operating hours).
    *Location information will not be sent outside of these hours.
    *If you set 00:00 - 24:00, it will be treated as 24 hours.

*Time slots can be set within 00:00~36:00, and cannot exceed 24 hours from the start time.

  1. Enter the number of units you wish to log in and use at the same time at the job site.

*If you are using the “Smart Construction Fleet Device”, 3 units can be logged in at the same time with one assignment.

  1. Select and save the settings for units to be handled on site, overspeed alerts, route deviation warnings, etc.
    *Enter the necessary settings for management.

  1. The created job site will be displayed in the job site list.

Supplementation

Other ways to create a project site (Creation from unsettled site information)
You can create a project site from the site information displayed as “Not set” in the “Site List”.
This is limited to cases where the site information is already being used by another application or by the company's own organization.

  1. 【"1" Select your company's “Not set” site information displayed in site list of the Smart Construction Fleet,】 and when it is 【"2" set】, it will appear as 【"3" Underway】 in the site list.
