The Homescreen can be viewed in two formats. They are:

To toggle between the two views, tap the slider in the lower right corner of the screen or tap the electron view or grid view icon in that same area.
Numbers associated with the icons on the Homescreen indicate action in those sections. For example, the "2" attached to the Subcontractor Log icon lets you know that two entries have been made into the Subcontractor Log today. This information will be then be included in your Daily Report.
