Introduction
Project files contain all of the design and control point data your ICT system needs. They are typically provided by your surveyor or project engineer and saved on a USB drive.
⚠️ Safety Notes
-
🔴 Park safely first: Always park on firm, level ground, lower the work equipment, lock the control levers, and stop the engine before inserting or removing USB drives.
-
⚠️ Do not disconnect cables from the ICT monitor while powered on, unless instructed.
-
✅ Use approved file types: The machine accepts project files in Komatsu-compatible formats such as
.TP3.
Step-by-Step Instructions
-
Prepare the file
-
Save the project file to the root directory of a USB flash drive (not inside a folder).
-
Make sure the file name is clear (avoid symbols or very long names).
-
Supported types: .TP3 (project file), plus associated design data formats.
-
-
Insert USB flash drive
-
Locate the USB port on the side of the ICT monitor.
-
Insert the USB stick securely.
-
-
Power on the ICT monitor
-
Turn the starting switch to ON (engine can remain off).
-
Wait for the ICT monitor to fully boot up (about 10–20 seconds).
-
-
Open the File Menu
-
On the ICT monitor, tap the Menu button.
-
Select File → Project File.
-
-
Import the new project file
-
Tap Input.
-
Select Import from USB.
-
Highlight your project file (
.TP3) from the list shown. -
Tap the checkmark to confirm import.
-
-
Activate the project file
-
Once imported, the file will appear in your project file list.
-
Highlight it and tap Change Active.
-
The file name should now be shown as the active project file on your dashboard.
-
-
Verify data
-
Check that the Design Data and Control Points load correctly.
-
Confirm that the correct surface/alignment is shown under Active Design Data.
-
Tips
-
If you get an error like “Data Load Failure”, the file may be too large or improperly formatted. Ask your surveyor\designer\engineer to simplify or re-export the data.
-
Delete old or unused projects to keep the ICT monitor memory from filling up.
-
If the project requires localization, make sure the correct Control Point file is included with the project.
