Adding + Maintaining Roles

  1. From the Homescreen, tap the  icon to open the Main Menu.

  2. The Main Menu opens. Tap the Admin option.

  3. The Admin menu opens. Tap the Labor option.

  4. The Labor Menu opens. Tap Role Maintenance.

  5. The Role Maintenance dialogue opens.a.

    1. Back Arrow: Tap to return to the previous screen.

    2. Inactive Toggle: By default this view displays active roles only. Tap this to view both active and inactive roles. Inactive roles will appear greyed out.

    3. Role Title: This is the name assigned to the role.

    4. Permissions Count: This number indicates the number of permissions that have been granted to this role.

    5. More Options: Tap these three dots to open a dropdown menu with options to Delete or Edit a role, or to see the users assigned to this role.

    6. Add Role: Tap this button to add a new role.

Adding a New Role:

  1. Tap the Add button the the lower right corner of the screen.

  2. Enter a role name, and optionally, a description. Then select the permissions that will be granted to this role using their corresponding checkmarks. Note that permissions are grouped by topic--click on any grouping to expand and view the related options.

  3. Once all permissions have been assigned, tap the Checkmark button to proceed, or the "X" button to cancel.

Editing a Role:

  1. To edit a role, tap on the More Options dots on that role.

  2. The dropdown menu opens. Select the Edit option.

  3. The Edit Role screen appears. Make any necessary changes to the Role Name, Description, and/or permissions.

  4. Tap the Checkmark button to proceed, or the "X" button to cancel.

Deleting a Role:

  1. To delete a role, tap on the More Options dots on that role.

  2. The dropdown menu opens. Select the Delete option.

  3. Note that only roles that do not have users associated with them can be deleted.

Viewing Users Assigned to a Role:

  1. To view users assigned to a role, tap on the More Options dots on that role.

  2. The dropdown menu opens. Choose the Users option.

  3. A window opens displaying the number of users assigned to that role, as well as the users' names.
