Adding a Project (Project Managers Only)

  1. Tap the  icon in the upper right corner of the app.

  2. The menu opens. Tap the Select Project option.

  3. The Projects view opens showing all of the projects that have been assigned to you, and their start/end dates. Tap the “+” icon in the lower menu to add a new project.

  4. The Add Project screen opens, prompting you for the following details:

    1. Project Status: Select a status from the dropdown menu. Note that once a project is moved out of Planning and into In Progress users will be notified of their task assignments within the project.

    2. Name: Enter the project’s name. (This field is required.)

    3. Project Number: Enter a number to correspond with the project. (This field is optional).

    4. Customer: Choose the customer the project belongs to from the dropdown menu, or if the customer is not listed, choose the Add Customer option.

    5. Cost Code Group: Choose a cost code group from the dropdown menu, or if the cost code is not listed, choose the Add Cost Code option.

    6. Jobsite Address: Choose your jobsite's country from the dropdown menu, and then fill in the details of the project's address. If a jobsite address is not entered, note that the time zone used for this project will correspond to the time zone established for the enterprise. Based on the jobsite address a geofence is created for the project. By clicking on the View/Edit Geofence button, this geofence can be modified with specific longitude or latitude details, or the radius around the jobsite can be increased or decreased.

    7. Project Scope: Choose a project scope from the dropdown menu. Options include: Enterprise: The entire enterprise can view the project. Team leaders and owner can edit. Team Project: Only the team is able to view the project. Team leaders and Owner can edit. Personal: By default new projects are set to “personal.” This limits visibility and editing to the project’s creator. Personal projects to not appear in other users' reports.

    8. Project Assignment: If you've set the project to a personal scope, you will already be assigned as the project owner. If you you've set the project to a team or enterprise scope, you will be able to choose a project owner from across the organization. Note that any project added will be visible throughout your enterprise.

  5. Once all necessary information has been entered, tap the  to continue or the  to cancel.

Project Setup + Role Admin
